This was better than last year – and last year was a good show. It’s really grown, we’ve seen a good turnout of quality people. The Focus model really suits Glasgow.
Last year was good, but this was much better. We’ve had a better quality of visitor: people from the BBC have been over. We’ve seen really serious people, lots from London and Edinburgh.
We’ve done some good demos to AV and lighting hire businesses. Some we’ve seen before and are now coming back to find out more, plus some new people. We’ve had visitors from across Scotland, from Newcastle and even the south of England.
We welcomed record numbers of customers on the first morning and reckon we have done more business than at the previous two Glasgow shows combined. The Scottish market really seemed to appreciate a show like this taking place in the region.
PLASA Focus Glasgow is an important platform for us because of our very diverse customer base from end user to venues to rental houses. It is a great meeting place for everyone to get together and talk about the requirements for the next 12 months in a relaxed atmosphere. Our demo facility at the show allows new and existing customers to get hands-on experience of the products and have direct contacts with the brands.
It’s the first time we’ve had a trade stand at a PLASA event. This year we are pleasantly surprised, we’ve had a lot of traffic through yesterday and today including people we never knew before and we are making new contacts. There is the social side of it too - it was great fun last night meeting up with lots of people and the PLASA staff were very helpful.
The show is great, we’ve had a lot of people in the industry visiting us with questions and it’s been great demonstrating some of our new Titan software to them. We are really pleased with the quality of visitors and the leads we are finding here.
